The “44th European Conference on Optical Communication” (ECOC 2018) will be held in Rome, Italy, on September 23-27, 2018.
ECOC is the leading European conference in the field of optical communication, and one of the most prestigious and long-standing events in this field. Here, the latest progress in optical communication technologies will be reported in selected papers, keynotes, presentations and special symposia.
Parallel to the scientific conference, the ECOC exhibition covers a wide range of optical communication products and services.

BlueSPACE is organising a workshop together with 5G-PHOS, Metro-Haul and 5G-PICTURE @ the 2018 edition of Photonics in Switching and Computing (PSC’18) in Limassol, Cyprus in September this year.
The International Conference on “Photonics in Switching and Computing – PSC” is the successor of the “Photonics in Switching – PS” conference running annually since 2001 and hosted by Europe, North America and Japan in turn.

5G-PHOS is co-organizing a Workshop on 5G Wireless and Optical Technologies for Mobile Communication Systems, in collaboration with the 5G PPP projects 5G-ESSENCE, 5G-PICTURE and 5G Bluespace.
This Workshop, co-located in IEEE CAMAD 2018, aims to offer an opportunity for academic and industrial researchers to discuss on feasible solutions including evolutional technologies and ecosystems for the realization of 5G and beyond. CAMAD is held in Barcelona, Spain, on 17-19 September 2018.

Bluespace Project leader Idelfonso Tafur Monroy is co-organizing a special workshop on Sunday 08 October including the delivery an invited talk The full-day workshop is part of the conference European Microwave Week 2017 to take place in Nuremberg, Germany. 8-13 October 2017.
The 2017 IEEE Conference on Standards for Communications & Networking (CSCN’17), going to be held in Helsinki. The dates of CSCN’17 were deliberately chosen to have the conference right after the Q3 Broadband Forum meeting that will take place in Helsinki, Finland (11– 14 Sep. 2017). IEEE CSCN 2017 will be collocated with the IEEE 5G-IoT Summit Helsinki, together forming the Helsinki5GWeek.
CSCN’17 will deliver a rich technical program discussing the future of mobile communications systems, offering distinguished keynotes, panels and technical sessions. The technical sessions will consist of technical papers reviewed and selected by an international technical program committee representing both academia and industry, with a strong standardization background.
CHARISMA project is co-organizing the first workshop on Mobile Edge Communications (MECOMM), to be held in conjunction with the ACM SIGCOMM Conference on UCLA campus in Los Angeles, CA, USA on August 21-25, 2017.
The workshop focuses on mobile edge communications and in particular the challenges and opportunities arising by the introduction of virtualization at the edge of the network, in accordance to the emerging Network Functions Virtualization (NFV) and Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) paradigms.
The workshop is organized in collaboration with the H2020 POINT Project.
